Lucile Kearley Marchbanks, 83, of Lindon passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022. She was born to Edgar Kearley and Alma Lucile (Peggy) Peterson on August 24, 1939, in Mt Pleasant, Utah. Lucile was the oldest of four children born into this family. Her family relocated several times but moved to Lindon in 1947 where she grew up. Lucile attended school in Lindon and Pleasant Grove. She always spoke of the great childhood she had with her siblings and friends. Lucile fell for her forever sweetheart Terry Marchbanks in High school. They were married on October 18, 1956 and spent their honeymoon deer hunting. They just celebrated 66 wonderful years of marriage. They were blessed with 3 beautiful children, 2 daughters: Darlene Paxton of Milburn, and Cindy Marchbanks of Lindon, and one son Gary Marchbanks. Her parents divorced when she was about 17 years old. Her dad married Lois Greenland, who brought three step siblings to the family. Irene Greaves, June Shumpter and Raymond Lovell. Her mother married Fred Medved, so she gained two extra parents. Lucile and Terry loved to go camping and hunting with family and friends. Lucile had a special touch when it came to decorating her home. Her home was beautiful and spotless. Her yard was always magnificent and a beautiful place for their family and friends to gather. She took great pride in both her home and yard. Her family was always the most important thing to Lucile. She loved all of her babies and grand babies more than life itself. She is survived by her husband Terry and daughters Darlene and Cindy and by her brother Edgar Kearley of Lindon. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Lucile was preceded in death by her parents, her son Gary, her sisters Sharon Brimhall and Carol Anne Fullmer, her great grandson Cole Hanyon and step siblings Irene, June and Raymond. She was also preceded in death by her stepmother Lois and stepfather Fred. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 4, 2022 at 12 noon in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a viewing from 10:00 – 11:30 am prior to the services.
